What kinds of celebrations happen in winter in Edmonton?

Edmonton puts on the Winter Light festival from January 6-March 13, 2010. This new celebration features a variety of winter events showcasing Edmonton as a beautiful and unique winter city. From December 10-13, 2009 the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium presents The Nutcracker by the Alberta Ballet. A great holiday tradition to start with your family! Celebrate the Season at the Alberta Legislature during the month of December! Festivities include choir performances, free hot chocolate and the Premier’s ceremonial turning-on of the outdoor lights.
