What’s life like in Edmonton for a student?

Whether you enjoy sports, nightlife, arts and culture, dining, walking, biking, volunteering, Edmonton has all of this and more.

One of the most popular haunts for students and young academics is Whyte Avenue – an eclectic area in Old Strathcona that offers shopping, dining, night life and theatre.

On the other side of the river is 124th Street, lined with specialty shops, the famous “Gallery Walk”, bakeries, deli’s and some mighty fine dining.

The Alberta Art Gallery, Telus World of Science, Fort Edmonton and the Royal Alberta Museum are a few of the attractions the city has to offer.

And then there’s Edmonton’s famous river valley, with miles of hiking, biking and walking paths. With lovely park areas dotting the valley, it’s a great place to take a picnic lunch in the summer or a bbq roast and hot chocolate at one of the many camp stoves in the winter.

It only takes a bit of exploring to learn about all that Edmonton has to offer.
