Is it hard to get around in winter?
It’s true that driving in snowy conditions can be a challenge. As long as you have good winter tires on your car and slow down, it shouldn’t be a problem though – ask any of the 1000s of Edmontonians who drive all year round. The City has a brigade of plows and sanding trucks ready to clear the streets when the snow really falls, and, after a big snowfall, most major arteries are cleared before Edmontonians even get out of bed in the morning.
Edmontonians are pretty helpful too – if you get stuck, someone will always stop to help you out. It’s just what we do here.
Driving isn’t your only option either. Edmonton has an extensive and expanding transit system made up of buses, Light Rail Transit (LRT), and even Disabled Adult Transportation Services.
