Can I work while studying in Edmonton if I am not a Canadian citizen?

Yes. Canadian immigration regulations allow full-time international students who have a valid study permit to work on campus without any additional documentation. Once a student has completed 6 months of full-time study in Canada, the student can apply for an off-campus work permit. This permit allows the student to work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the regular academic year and full-time during school breaks. The International Centre on campus can help answer any questions you may have. Contact the International Centre at [email protected], and also check out the links below for more info.
