A Simple Story

My story is simple. It's about a 17-year-old girl 3000 miles from home. My baby's father—my soulmate—and I moved away from everyone and everything we knew to have a real chance of making something of ourselves. We got married in our small apartment with just a couple of family members as our guests and the rest were all the people we met out here. Wayne told me that day that I would have a big fancy wedding someday. A few months later our daughter was born, so our family was complete. We both worked over the years and out of the blue I found out I had MS, so in my mind no big wedding! Wayne said to me that on our 25th anniversary we would have a big wedding—the one I always dreamed of. And we did! If it weren’t for Edmonton and the opportunities we got here and the great people we’ve met along the way, we wouldn’t have made it to our 25th anniversary wedding. That's our story OF LOVE!
