Four Generation Chairs

By Jim Gibbon

Whenever I lead tours through our brewery I am always surprised to see how interested people are in the stories behind Amber's—usually much more than they are interested in the brewing and bottling process. They like to hear about who owned the equipment before we did—in this case Strathcona Brewing and Flanagan and Son’s. They like to hear about our bottling unit and its history in Edmonton. Remember Happy Pop? Apparently this machine bottled it all. They are interested in hearing that the images on our website were not purchased but are historic photos of my ancestors and their friends—real Edmontonians.

But, the story they always seem the most interested in is our Four-Generation Chairs. So, I thought we should share it. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it motivates you to come by for a visit and to support local producers.
