Canada Day Criterium

The City of Edmonton has countless bike paths and multi-use trails throughout Edmonton’s River Valley and parks for cyclists.

Host of the Canada Day Criterium, the Edmonton Juventus Cycling Club offers great riding and racing opportunities to all age groups. Members are beginner to national team level cyclists who enjoy track cycling, mountain biking, and cycle cross and road racing.

In June 2009, Edmonton hosted the first ever Canada Cup Cross-Country Mountain Bike race held in an urban setting. This international event attracted world-ranked cross-country mountain biking talent from all across Canada.  Edmonton treated them to a challenging race course set in its legendary trail network right in the heart of the river valley around the Kinsmen Field House.
