Bucking Broncos

Canadian Finals Rodeo clown - CrAsh CooperSince 1974 rodeo fans from all over the world have come out to watch bucking broncos at the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) in Edmonton. The Canadian Finals Rodeo is a world-class event that attracts some of the best in the bucking business. While there is money to be won, the cowboys and cowgirls also enjoy giving back to Edmonton. During Rodeo Magic, Edmonton and area school children with special needs get to be rodeo stars for the day. Kids are paired up with CFR contestants, and enjoy fun activities like horse riding and barrel bronco riding.

In the CFR video, you’ll meet 4 of the 2009 contestants. First up is bull rider Scott Schiffner, who has competed at the CFR 10 times, and has won the Canadian Finals Aggregate Winner twice in his career. Next is Dusty LaValley, 2006 and 2007 Canadian bareback champion. Following Dusty is Adel Hansen, the 2009 ladies barrel racing rookie of the year. Finally there’s saddle bronc rider Rod Hay, who’s won many Canadian titles over the past 20 or so years.

Experience some Rodeo Magic in the second video. Meet rodeo clown CrAsh Cooper. He’s a talented entertainer, and also an accomplished western artist and cartoonist. Find out why he thinks the CFR is the best place to experience the wild west.
