Art Walk

The Art Walk is an event where over 300 artists paint and draw on Whyte Avenue for 3 days. It’s a chance for artists, professional or hobbyist, to come out and show off what they’re doing, and get a public reaction to it.

Being in the Art Walk is a leap of faith. People are nervous showing their work for the first time. It’s great exposure though with 1000s of people walking by.

For artists it’s a chance to show off what they’re doing, to network and to get public feedback and sell art.

For attendees, the event provides a sense of inclusion: what will the line on that canvas become? It helps feed a certain kind of curiosity. It also gives them an opportunity to meet artists and buy their work.
