Feats Festival of Dance
There are endless opportunities to learn all types of dance in Edmonton. There are province- and city-wide competitions, festivals, and workshops as well as many studios to help perfect your technique. And if you like to watch dance from around Canada and the world, the annual Feats Festival of Dance is a must-attend festival.
Feats Festival of Dance, produced by the Alberta Dance Alliance (ADA),celebrates the Alberta dance community and provides an opportunity for creation, presentation, and performance. As a provincial service organization, the ADA fosters and promotes the appreciation and practice of dance in Alberta – Feats is one of the ways in which they do that.
Check out the video below to get a glimpse of the Feats Festival and hear from those involved:
Contemporary dancer Jeannie Vandekerkhove is the girl sitting down and wearing the hat with a strap.
The woman in the black and white blouse is Bobbi Westman, a passionate Edmontonian and Executive Director of Alberta Dance Alliance.
Take a look at the second video featuring Gerry Morita (the girl in the black blazer and sparkly hat), who moved to Edmonton so she could raise a family while pursuing her passion for dance.
