Motorcycling in Edmonton
By Tony Oostenbrink
This ride took place on a weekday morning in mid-May 2008.
The ride took me from our home In Capilano (Capilano is the neighbourhood above the southeast corner of the Capilano Bridge) to Groat Road & 107 Avenue with no stops!
The Route: 106 Ave / over Dawson Bridge / down Grierson Hill / over Low Level Bridge / up Scona Road / along Saskatchewan Dr. / down Queen Elizabeth Park Rd. / over Walterdale Bridge / along River Rd. / up Groat Rd. / down Groat Rd. / River Valley Rd.
Music: "Spirit of Radio" by iconic Canadian band RUSH.

Nice video. However, I think you might want to check the copyright provisions for the use of songs before you post any more of this type of video.

FYI - for sites like ours, we can use music as background without needing approval or having to pay. We checked and basically the Copyright Board of Canada said in 2008 that these kinds of sites and purposes probably should pay to use music, but they didn't know how much would be fair, so they didn't set an amount. So, ok for now!

That was AWESOME! I've hit many of those roads myself on the bike but I can't say I've managed it without stopping! Great choice in tunes.

Nice ride. Judging by the speed you passed everyone it doesn't seem like you ever went the speed limit though.

Half of your route is the same as the one I have taken almost every work day for nearly twenty years as I drive from the burbs into the inner city. I love the view of the changing seasons as one passes over the Dawson Bridge. We have a spectacular city. You've captured my drive from a different perspective: I haven't done it on a motorcycle! Bravo!

Hi Tony,
I enjoyed your video, and the music. I was wondering did you go to Burnaby South Secondary High School on Kingsway St. If you were, then I know you back then seriously, because we used to take Art class together, it was grade 10 and 11. So please let me if that were you. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Wow that long lost friends. Thank you.
