Torch Relay Route Photo Contest
The Torch Relay Route Photo Contest is now closed. Thank you to everyone who entered.
Please come back on December 30, 2009, when we will identify the landmarks and reveal the Olympic Torch Relay Route.
The 2010 Vancouver Olympic torch will be coming through Edmonton on January 13. At the moment, the route is top secret. Edmontonstories knows the route and wants to share it with you… But learning the specifics won’t come easy – you’ll have to earn the knowledge and possibly win a prize.
There are two ways to participate in the Torch Relay Route Photo Contest and win. You can participate in one or both ways every day from December 14 to 23, 2009 for two chances to win official Olympic winter gear on each draw date!
Identify the Landmark:
From December 14 to 23, 2009, we will post one photo, every day, of an Edmonton landmark along the Torch Relay Route. Your job is to identify where the landmark is located in the city. For every correct answer, your name is entered into a draw for a chance to win 1 of 5 Torch Relay Prize Packs. Each prize pack contains an official Olympic toque, scarf and a pair of torchbearer mittens. Enter every day for more chances to win!
Retweet Clues:
Follow us on Twitter or join our Facebook Fan group for clues on photo locations and for more chances to win. Help us pass along the message by retweeting the clue along with the hashtag #yegtorchpic. For each clue you retweet, your username will be entered into a draw for 1 of 5 pairs of Torchbearer Mittens. Make sure you follow @edmontonstories or become an Edmonton Stories Facebook Fan to see the clues and to be quickly notified if you win.
The answers will be revealed on December 30, 2009 when the route is officially announced.
